I remember, it was made of willow, the ispalac vessel with which they [the fishermen] scooped the water out. I also remember when they didn’t have motors, they did everything with oars. And then one had to be skilled, you couldn’t go down the middle of the Danube, but you always stuck to the edge when going upstream. The water resistance is lower there.
