From the age of three, I spent my childhood with my grandparents in the vineyard, which was located 500-600 meters from the Danube. We went to the Danube every day. The Danube in my childhood was clean; we drank water from it. My grandmother washed laundry there; my grandfather fished. My entire childhood was spent by the river, and that’s when the love that lasts to this day was instilled. … Today, I practice a sport fishing called ‘bućkanje’. ‘Bućkanje’ is an old way of hunting catfish using a ‘bućka’ (clonker) and a line. In a way, the tradition of that hunt is being maintained.
